🍞 Air Fryer French Toast Sticks

Serves: 4

Total Time: ~20 minutes

Crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, and perfectly cinnamon-sweet — these French toast sticks are an easy weekend breakfast win. They cook up golden in the air fryer with less mess, and you can freeze extras for busy mornings.

🧂 Ingredients

  • 6 slices thick bread (Brioche, Texas toast, or challah work best)

  • 3 large eggs

  • ½ cup milk (or half & half for richness)

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1 tablespoon sugar (optional but adds a nice crust)

  • Pinch of salt

  • Butter or oil spray for the air fryer

👩‍🍳 Directions

🔹 1. Prep the Bread

Cut each slice of bread into 3–4 sticks. Let them sit out for 10–15 minutes to dry slightly (this helps them soak without getting soggy).

🔹 2. Make the Egg Mixture

In a shallow bowl, whisk together:

  • Eggs

  • Milk

  • Vanilla

  • Cinnamon

  • Sugar

  • Salt

🔹 3. Dip & Coat

Dip each bread stick quickly into the egg mixture, coating both sides. Don’t soak too long — just a quick dunk.

🔹 4. Air Fry

  1. Preheat air fryer to 370°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.

  2. Lightly spray the basket with oil or butter spray.

  3. Arrange sticks in a single layer (work in batches).

  4. Air fry 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and slightly crisp.

🔹 5. Serve Warm

Serve right away with:

  • Maple syrup

  • Powdered sugar

  • Cinnamon sugar sprinkle

  • Or a drizzle of warm honey butter 🧈🍯
