⏳ How Is It Already a Month Later?!
It honestly feels impossible that it’s already been a full month since our last blog, but here we are. Between the holidays, New Year’s, settling into 2026, and Caleb heading back to Texas (again), life has been moving fast — like blink-and-you-miss-it fast. The days have all kind of blended together in that way where you’re constantly doing something, but barely have time to stop and process it until suddenly weeks have gone by and you’re wondering how the hell that happened.
🎄 Holiday Recap: Food, Family & Full Plates
The holidays were really special this year. Daniel’s family came out, and it was the first time we’ve gotten to spend the holidays together like that. There was a lot of food involved — we cooked way too much, baked even more than that, and somehow still managed to eat past the point of reason.
The kitchen was always busy, something was always in the oven, and there was never a quiet moment. It was loud, warm, full of laughter, and honestly just really nice to share that space together. Those are the kinds of moments that remind us why we do all of this — the work, the chaos, the juggling — because at the end of the day, it’s about being together and creating memories that actually stick.

🥂 New Year’s Eve: Cozy Couch Edition
New Year’s Eve was intentionally low-key, and it ended up being exactly what we needed. We stayed home, made dinner, and just relaxed while watching Cooper & Cohen get absolutely messy on TV. 😂
There’s something oddly comforting about letting other people ring in the new year loudly while you’re in comfy clothes on your own couch, judging from afar and knowing you made the right choice. No pressure, no expectations — just easing into the new year instead of launching ourselves into it.

🌧️ Goodbye Christmas… Eventually
Mother Nature had opinions going into 2026. It rained for a full week straight, which meant all the indoor Christmas décor came down on New Year’s Day… but the outdoor decorations? Those took another full week to dry out before we could even think about touching them.
It’s wild how it takes three full days to pull Christmas down, yet putting it up somehow never feels like that much work. Funny how exhaustion works when sparkle is involved.
✨ Looking Ahead to 2026 (With Intention)
As we step into 2026, we’ve been doing a lot of reflecting — probably more than usual. One of our biggest goals this year is to finally let go of the chronic stress that Out At The Fair brought into our lives and our relationship. That chapter taught us a lot, but it also took a lot out of us in ways we didn’t fully understand until we stepped back.
This year is about biking more, choosing more “us” time, and trusting that even if the future feels a little unknown right now, we can handle whatever comes next together.
Some OATF events will continue on in other hands, and others may quietly fade away — and honestly, that’s okay. We can’t fix a country or an industry that refuses to see the value of equality. All we can do is live loudly, live freely, and not let fear dictate how we move forward. We hope 2026 brings more peace, clarity, and stability for everyone — even if it’s starting out a little… weird.
🎂 10 Years In (Still Obsessed)
And somehow, in the middle of all the holidays and chaos, we also celebrated a pretty massive milestone — 10 years together on January 19, 2026. Ten. Whole. Years. Honestly wild when we stop and think about it.
We kept it simple and very us: dinner at home, a cake (because obviously), and our beloved Mexican Fanta — because if you know, you know. No big party, no pressure, just a quiet moment to pause and actually acknowledge how far we’ve come.
Ten years of growing up together, screwing things up, fixing them, choosing each other over and over again, and building a life that doesn’t always look traditional — but feels solid, safe, and real. It was one of those nights that didn’t need much because the meaning was already there.
Still here. Still choosing each other. Still very much a throuple.
💙 Family First, Always
This week, Caleb had to head back to Texas again. Unfortunately, his grandpa passed away, and today they’re laying him to rest. If you’ve got a moment, send some love his way.
The past few months have had him spending more time there than here, but family comes first — always. It’s never easy being apart, especially for reasons like this, but knowing he has the support of family there and a solid support team at home helps keep everything grounded while we get through it together.
🍪 Snack Shack Update (Finally!)
We finally have some very exciting news about CDawg’s Snack Shack. We’ve officially passed everything and are now just waiting on the final home inspection, labels, and business licenses.
All of it has been county-approved, and honestly… this process has taken forever. There were moments it felt like it would never actually happen, so seeing the light at the end of the tunnel feels unreal. Cookies, snacks, candy, sourdough, and jams are all approved — and we are so close to making this official.
🎙️ Podcast Season 2 Is LIVE

If you didn’t already know — Season 2 of our podcast, A Little Throuple Tea, officially dropped today! 🎧
We’re back for another 10 episodes on YouTube and all your favorite podcast platforms, and wow… Episode 1 really reminded us how rusty we were. 😂
Once we got going though, it felt really good to be back behind the mics. This season, we switched up the background and brought in the DCW Grows plant racks to add some green life for everyone stuck in winter mode. We hope you’ll listen (or watch) and let us know what you think — we’re having a really great time being back.
❤️ Until Next Time
As always, thank you for being here, reading along, and supporting everything we’re building. It means more than we can ever fully explain. We hope you have a great couple of weeks ahead, and we’ll be back soon with another life update.
With love,
DCW 💙💚💜
